- How your teacher is assignedNIA management selects and assigns your child’s teacher by programme, level and schedule. You can tell us if you prefer a male or female teacher. If the fit is not right, ask management for a change and they will review it and arrange it.
- If a teacher is unavailableFor a temporary absence, NIA provides a suitable substitute chosen by management for your child’s programme and level, and lets you know. If a teacher is repeatedly or long-term unavailable, your child may be permanently reassigned.
- Academic supervisionSenior Teachers and Academic Supervisors monitor teacher performance and student progress, and periodically review each student’s progress.

- One-to-one or small groupOne-to-one is our main format. Small-group classes are also available; Admissions can tell you more.
- Class lengthRegular classes are 30 minutes. Longer 45- or 60-minute sessions may be available for selected students and programmes, especially Hifz and intensive repetition. NIA advises after your assessment.
- Classes per week2 to 5 classes a week, and it can be tailored to your child.
- Online platformClasses are live online, on a platform such as Zoom or Google Meet. NIA management makes the final choice and shares joining details at onboarding.

Payment, pause, cancellation and missed classes
- PaymentPay by bank transfer, monthly, in advance of that month’s classes. There is no mandatory 3, 6 or 12-month commitment.
- PausingA temporary pause is available for a reasonable reason, with Admissions/Management approval. Pauses longer than one week are free of charge; a pause of 7 days or less is treated as a short break and the normal monthly fee continues.
- CancellingYou can cancel any time — no advance notice is required.
- RefundsClasses already delivered are non-refundable; the unused portion of a paid plan may be refundable, including if NIA cannot deliver a class and cannot offer a suitable alternative. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for the full terms.
- Missed classesReasonable advance notice → we try to arrange a makeup, subject to teacher availability. No-show or no reasonable notice → not made up. A problem on your side (e.g. internet or device) → normally not made up. If NIA or the teacher cancels, we arrange a makeup or adjustment at no extra charge.
- If NIA or the teacher is interruptedNIA arranges a replacement teacher or session, and makes an appropriate fee adjustment where necessary.

What parents can expect
Choosing an online teacher for your child is a big decision. Here is what you can expect to see, and what you are welcome to ask us about.
- Progress reportsHifz daily progress goes to the Parents App, and Qaida and Nazra daily progress goes to WhatsApp. A Monthly Progress Report is shared separately.
- Sitting with your childYou are welcome to sit with your child during class and keep an eye on their learning.
- Recording and platformClasses run live on a platform chosen by NIA, and are recorded and shared with parents. Recordings are kept for 90 days (longer if reasonably needed — see our Media Consent Policy).
- Child protection & teacher conductNIA verifies teacher identity and qualifications before they teach. Any safeguarding concern can be raised with NIA Management / Designated Safeguarding Lead — see our Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy.
- Photos and videos of childrenWe ask for separate consent before any child’s photo or video is used on our website, social media or ads — see our Media Consent Policy.

What happens in the Free Assessment & Trial Session?
It is one combined 45-minute session with an NIA teacher. The teacher assesses your child's current level, and your child experiences a real live Quran lesson. The teacher then shares feedback, and the NIA Admissions team contacts you within 1 hour after the session.
Which programme is right for my child, and do they need prior knowledge?
Children new to Arabic letters usually begin with Noorani Qaida, which starts from the alphabet. Quran reading with Tajweed comes next, and Hifz is for memorisation. The assessment places your child at the right level, so no prior knowledge is needed to book.

Who will teach my child, and can I ask for a female or male teacher?
NIA has male and female teachers. NIA management selects and assigns your child's teacher, and you can tell us if you prefer a male or female teacher. You cannot pick a specific teacher at the moment. If the fit is not right, ask management for a change and they will review and arrange it. If a teacher is temporarily unavailable, NIA provides a suitable substitute and lets you know.

You do not pick an exact slot in the first form. NIA Admissions asks for your preferred days, time of day and time zone, then confirms the exact date and time based on teacher availability and your local time.

What do we need to join online?

How much does it cost, and can I pause or cancel?
The Free Assessment & Trial Session is free, with no payment before it. Regular classes are 30 minutes, 2 to 5 classes a week. Monthly plans, in US dollars: Starter $27 (2 classes a week), Standard $43 (3), Regular $55 (4) and Fast-track $69 (5). You pay monthly in advance, online or by bank transfer, with no long-term commitment. The second and each further sibling gets 20% off One-to-One regular plans.
A temporary pause is available, and cancelling needs advance notice. The monthly fee is generally non-refundable, with possible exceptions under NIA's written policy.

How will I see my child's progress?
For Hifz, daily progress goes to the Parents App. For Qaida and Nazra, daily progress goes to WhatsApp. A Monthly Progress Report is shared separately. Senior Teachers and Academic Supervisors also review each student's progress periodically.
What if we miss a class, or the teacher does?
If NIA or the teacher misses a class, we arrange a replacement session. If your family needs to miss one, it may be rescheduled with advance notice, subject to teacher availability and NIA's scheduling policy.
